About Anastasia Florists
Over 30 Years of Tradition Anastasia Florists has been a landmark in Aberdeen for over three decades. Originally established at 236 King Street, the shop has been the heartbeat of local floristry for generations. In November 2019, we took the reins of this historic business, eventually moving to our brand-new, modern shop at 336 King Street (AB24 5BJ).
Local residents will remember our new home as the "Old Hoover Shop," located directly across from the Pittodrie Bar on King Street. After six months of extensive refurbishment, we have transformed this iconic space into a contemporary studio that allows us to showcase our floral artistry in the best possible light, right in the community we love.
Meet the Owners: A Dream Realized & A Global Reach At the heart of our shop is Laima, whose journey into floristry began long before she reached the Granite City. Laima spent four years in intensive floral training in Latvia, followed by many years honing intricate techniques and design principles in professional Latvian flower shops.
After moving to Aberdeen and returning to the craft she loves, she found her home at Anastasia Florists. We are also incredibly proud to offer a unique personal touch: Laima is fluent in three languages—English, Latvian, and Russian.
This has been invaluable in serving Aberdeen's international community, particularly our customers with ties to Eastern Europe. We understand that during life's most significant moments, being able to communicate your feelings and needs clearly is essential. Laima’s ability to speak Russian and Latvian ensures that every customer, from whatever background, feels completely understood.
