Mannofield is a wealthy neighborhood in Aberdeen, Scotland. It is located in the city’s west end and is accessible via the A93 Aberdeen-Perth road, the A90 Edinburgh-Fraserburgh road, and the A96 (via the A90). Mannofield is also a short walk from Aberdeen City Centre and has excellent road and bus connections to the city and beyond. The water works / reservoir on St John’s Terrace and the reservoir on Craigton Road supply a large portion of Aberdeen’s water.

In 1772, Robert Balmanno purchased a portion of the Aberdeen “Freedom Lands,” formerly known as the Foul Moors, from the Rubislaw Estate and began draining the marshy tract for farmland. His strawberries were said to be the best of the Scottish crop, and he sold them in London’s Covent Garden. He built Friendville, a large house near the edge of his estate (at Countesswells Road). A small community grew around Balmanno’s Field, or Enclosure, and the name was later changed to Mannofield.

Since 9 May 1890, Mannofield has been the home of Aberdeenshire Cricket Club, with the club playing at Mannofield Park. Many great cricketing names have graced the ground over the years, most notably Sir Donald Bradman, who scored his final first-class century on British soil at the ground in 1948. In the modern era, the ground has evolved into one of Scotland’s finest, capable of hosting One Day International games between nations.

Furthermore, the flowers are delivered to our stores on a weekly basis, allowing us to use fresh flowers six days a week. This also means that the flowers used in your bouquets will last the longest, so you will get your money’s worth when you shop with us at Mannofield Flowers.
